Jankara was founded in 2006, the year in which Renato and Angela Spanu acquired 8 hectares of pristine land in the prestigious "Vena di San Leonardo" in the hills of Alta Gallura. In 2008 they planted the first 4 hectares exclusively with Vermentino grapes. In 2013 they were joined by Angelo and Denise Elia, two long-time friends, owners of the renowned "Casa D'Angelo" restaurant in Florida. A collaboration that takes Jankara to a new, ambitious level. The deep passion for Sardinia and in particular for its Gallura region has led Renato and his wife Angela to realize their dream of producing a wine of excellent quality and making the beauty and richness of the mountains and granite soil of Gallura known throughout the world.
