The Rosato Terra Liberta by Vigneti Massa is an intense salmon pink. The nose smells of rose petals, raspberry, wild strawberry, and grapefruit, with slightly herbaceous hints of freshly cut hay grass. On the palate, it is fresh and savoury, with a hint of extremely pleasant tannin. Very good fresh, but not cold, it is interesting in the pairing, also provocative, with the shaded eel of Orbetello, a smoked eel, marinated and then seasoned with a traditional pepper-based sauce called “pimento”, legacy of the Spanish domination.
