Gamaret and Garanoir are both a cross of Gamay and Reichensteiner (a white variety). Galotta provides excellent colour, structure and tannin, making it ideal as a blending variety. All three varieties are well resistant to rot. Fully ripe blackberries, black cherries, a smidgen of spice and a dash of cherry liqueur on the nose along with a rich and fruity slightly spicy palate.
