The spring season, especially the month of May, was characterized by frequent rain and temperatures that were slightly below the seasonal average. On the whole, the summer months were hot and dry, with no drastic temperature variations. This climate provided the ideal conditions for the ripening stage of the grapes, which ended on a perfect note with rainfall in August and a dry and ventilated September. The Sangiovese grape harvest commenced on the 10th of September. Sangiovese produces very fragrant wines with a net dry extract of over 22 g/L, which gives them a rich full-body and lots of personality.
