Nearly 1,000 years after the monks established their vineyards, Austrian superstar winemaker Willi Bründlmayer and his protege Michael ‘Michi’ Moosbrugger took over stewardship of Schloss vineyards. They took to the task of raising the quality with hard labor and traditional winemaking techniques. They meticulously farm the vineyards organically and have reduced the reliance on modern machinery. This cuvee is really lush and ripe with fresh green herbs, ripe granny smith apple, and blossoming florals on the nose. The palate is well structured with lime zest, a hint of white pepper, and provencal herbs.
