Deep purple in color, it opens with aromas of ripe black plum, cacao, black pepper, cedar, earthy mushroom and sweet oak. The rich palate delivers blueberry preserves, balsamic glaze, tarragon and anise, followed by a bright, savory finish. The wine was matured for eight months in French oak, including 31% new oak.
