Zamò Bianco has both Riesling and Sauvignon in the blend which derive from the vineyards of Rocca Bernarda . The peculiarity of this hill is the fact that it is more covered than Rosazzo with respect to the influence of the sea and instead more exposed to fresh winds deriving from the mountains and from nearby Slovenia/Croatia.
The fact of being in a cooler climate allows these grapes to have a more marked aromatic complexity and acidity than other varieties present in other areas of the eastern hills. These more aromatic varieties (sauvignon and riesling ) are present in a lower percentage but still manage to expand and make the whole bouquet of the wine more complex, creating a perfect sensory balance.
