Knappogue Castle Single Malt Irish Whiskey is named for the majestic castle that stands in County Clare, Ireland, originally built in 1467. The castle was purchased in 1966 by Mark Edwin Andrews, who also started bottling Knappogue Castle single malt whiskies at a time when only blended whiskeys were popular in Ireland. The Knappogue Castle portfolio includes Knappogue Castle 12 year old, special editions Knappogue Castle Twin Wood 14 year old and 16 year old, as well as Knappogue Castle 1951,revered by connoisseurs as the oldest and rarest Irish whiskey in the world.
