      Gianni Gagliardo Fossati Barolo 2016 is a limited-production, single-vineyard Barolo made entirely from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Fossati cru within the commune of Barolo. The vineyard’s cooler, shaded position gives the wine notable freshness, balance and balsamic character. It is matured for approximately 30 months in large 700-liter oak barrels.

       

      Aromas of camphor, toasted oak, coconut and forest underbrush lead to flavors of sour cherry, espresso and powdered sage. Firm acidity and assertive, grainy tannins create a structured, dry finish.
