Description
Fontodi Flaccianello della Pieve 2009 is an iconic Super Tuscan red produced exclusively from Sangiovese grown in Fontodi’s estate vineyards in Panzano in Chianti. Aged for approximately 24 months in French oak, it is powerful yet refined, offering concentrated dark fruit, polished tannins, vibrant acidity and excellent aging potential.
Tasting Note
Aromas and flavors of blackcurrant, raspberry, dried blackberry, cherry confit and plum, complemented by violet, leather, spice, toast, mineral and bitter chocolate. The palate is concentrated and elegant, with firm polished tannins, lively acidity and a long, persistent finish.
