There are moments in a wine drinker's life that make you feel humble. That's what happened to us when we stuck our noses in the Flor for the first time. There was this aroma of yeast , olives, white mushrooms and dried citrus fruits that we know from the famous Finos and Manzanillas from the Sherry region of Andalusia. Even the rare Jura wines sometimes mature under a thin layer of the Flor yeast strain. We didn't know until then that something like this was possible on the Mosel. You have to have a skilled hand for such a bold experiment and the right cellar environment. The guys from Fio's love for this style of wine is undeniable and their interpretation is unique and great.
