Taupenot-Merme have gradually improved over the last two decades with improvements in viticulture, the winery as well as new vineyard acquisitions. Whilst not the highest scoring Burgundies they are meticulous in their approach to winemaking and they offer value within their range.
They also own a small row of vines in the famous Clos des Lambrays vineyard which is otherwise owned by Domaines des Lambrays. From this small amount of fruit they produce barely a barrel a year and is notoriously difficult to get hold of.
