Cascina Baricchi Barbaresco Riserva Quindicianni 2008 is an exceptional, long-aged Italian red wine crafted from 100% Nebbiolo in the prestigious Barbaresco DOCG of Piedmont. The name "Quindicianni" means "fifteen years," reflecting the winery's unique aging process of five years in oak casks followed by ten years in bottle before release. This remarkable 2008 vintage displays remarkable depth and elegance with aromas of ripe black cherry, dried roses, leather, tobacco, licorice, menthol, smoke, and earthy spices. The palate is full-bodied, silky, and beautifully balanced, offering layers of dark fruit, mineral complexity, and refined tannins that lead to an exceptionally long, persistent finish. It is an outstanding collector's wine with excellent aging potential.
