Chateau Montelena The Montelena Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2009 is a premium Napa Valley red wine produced primarily from estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon. It displays concentrated black cherry, currant and plum aromas layered with smoke, anise and subtle oak. The palate is soft and rounded at first, developing fine velvety tannins, ripe red and dark fruit, balanced acidity and a long, spice-accented finish. The wine was aged for 22 months in French oak, including 34% new barrels.
