On the nose, the wine is delicate with notes of cherry, vanilla, and herbs. On the palate, it is dry, structured and elegant with flavors of plum, ripe cherries, wild berries and a hint of spice, followed by a lengthy and smooth finish that begs for another sip.\n \n Aia Vecchia is the name of an old building which is today the centre of the company, deep in the Tuscany countryside. The property consists of 170 acres; 119 are under vines. The planted varietals are Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which are used to produce Lagone and Sor Ugo.
