Description
Andrew Will Ciel du Cheval Vineyard Red 2019 is a Bordeaux-style red blend from the Ciel du Cheval Vineyard in Washington’s Red Mountain AVA. The 2019 blend is 57% Merlot and 43% Cabernet Franc, aged for 23 months in French oak, with 25% new oak. It combines dark fruit, graphite, savory herbs and refined tannins with strong mineral character.
Testing Note
Dark plum and black raspberry lead into graphite, pencil shavings, red and black fruit, tobacco, earth and subtle truffle. The palate is silky yet structured, with fresh acidity, firm tannins and a long, dusty mineral finish.
