This wine shows terrific balance and harmony. Quite delicate and smooth texture on the long finish.\n \n Producer Information\n Bodegas Borsao is a large Spanish producer in the Campo de Borja DO. Both the region and Borsao have a strong focus on the red grape variety Garnacha. The business has its roots in the formation in 1958 of a cooperative by multiple growers in the Borja region. This was just one of a number of cooperatives formed during the 1950s by small private producers combating a struggling economy. The Borsao wine label dates back to this time. In 2001 the Cooperative of Borja merged with two others, Pozuelo and Tabuenca, to form Bodegas Borsao. The hundreds of former co-op member winegrowers are now grower-shareholders. The majority of Bodegas Borsao wine is exported with up to 80 percent of its annual production sold internationally.
