This wine comes from a German "Four Corners" of Riesling, at the northern end of the Nahe River valley, nestled between the world's most famous regions for the varietal. This estate in particular, dating back to the 18th century, is known for its volcanic, quartz-studded soils, which produce a distinct minerality in their wines.\n\nWe get honeysuckle and straw on the nose, with a spicy, minerally palate and almost effervescent mouthfeel. A lovely example of terroir-driven dry Riesling!\n\nFood Ideas: pork cutlets w/mustard-cream spatzle, herbed omelette, roasted radishes and salted butter, tricolore salad w/lemon vinaigrette and shaved grana padano
