The Faiveley Chambolle-Musigny comes from several plots throughout the Chambolle-Musigny appellation. The soil here is stony and rich in limestone with exposures to the East-Southeast. 2020 is a dry, sunny vintage yet the wines show a lot of freshness. The yields were low, but the quality is excellent with a perfect degree of ripeness. It shows powerful aromas of ripe black fruits, sweet spices, and a touch of smoke. The palate is concentrated and persistent with fruity, oaky notes that linger on the finish. A remarkably elegant wine with silky smooth tannins and a very distinctive finish. Aged 14 to 16 months in oak barrel, 30% new.\n
