The grapes come from 4 different vineyards at 500 m altitude.\n\nThis young couple (Jose Gil and his wife Vicky) were catapulted to stardom in barely 4 years. Literally every Spanish winemaker tipped them as the most promising young winemakers of Rioja and even Spain.\n\nLast year Tim Atkin made them “young winemakers of the year” and Gutierrez’s comments at Robert Parker were no less complimentary with scores of 92 to 96 for his first vintages.
