A compelling Chardonnay from one of the region's most famous Premier Cru vineyards. These family vines were planted in 1971 by their grandfather Andre, in a stretch of the Montmains climat that lies close to the Forets vineyard. Here, the deep classic soils and southeasterly aspect typically produce a sturdy wine of ripe fruits and smoky, iodine mineral notes. Powerful and classy after aging in oak and stainless steel, Montmains is a great Chablis to decant or hold a few years. Collect!
