Domaine Justin Girardin Santenay Vieilles Vignes 2023 is an elegant red Burgundy crafted from 100% Pinot Noir grown in old vines averaging 50 years of age in the village of Santenay. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (15% new oak), the wine beautifully balances vibrant fruit with subtle oak influence. The 2023 vintage is expressive and refined, offering aromas of raspberry, blackcurrant, black cherry, and delicate floral notes with hints of sweet spice. Silky tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, fruit-driven finish make this an excellent example of Santenay Pinot Noir. It pairs wonderfully with roasted poultry, grilled pork, game birds, mushroom dishes, and soft to semi-aged cheeses.
