Domaine de Villaine Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise La Digoine 2024 is an elegant Pinot Noir from the La Digoine vineyard in Burgundy’s Côte Chalonnaise. The site lies at the foot of a slope on deeper soils and is planted with moderate-yield Pinot Noir. The wine combines ripe red and dark fruit with silky tannins, freshness, and a distinctive mineral finish.
Testing Note
Elegant and restrained aromas lead to notes of blackcurrant, crushed strawberry, cherry, and dark fruit. The palate is fleshy yet energetic, with silky tannins, balanced freshness, and an almost saline mineral finish. The producer recommends allowing two to five years for the wine to fully develop.
