The Adam Kabinett from the promising Piesporter Goldtröpfchen site comes from up to 110-year-old, ungrafted vines from a plot that has not been cleared. It has a somewhat closed nose, crisp citrus aromas come through, especially lemon and grapefruit, paired with dusty, slatey notes. On the palate there is pull and pressure, cracking lemon peel, a great sweet-acid interplay. It really moves forward, totally straight forward, focused, powerful, but still so delicious in its salty piquancy. Less harmonious than the Häs'chen Kabinett, but more power, more edge and corners, unbridled energy. A great Kabinett with a great future!
