West Cork Glengarriff Series Peat Charred Cask Single Malt Irish Whiskey 750 ML

The Glengarriff Series was launched in early 2018 by West Cork Distillers with two expressions - the Peat Charred Cask Finish (which you're look at right now!) and the Bog Oak Charred Cask Finish. These single malt Irish whiskeys are initially matured in Sherry casks before being treated to a finishing period in casks that have been charred using fuel sources from the Glengarriff Forest in West Cork. The distillers even have their own bespoke device, built with the help of a local blacksmith, to do the charring. The peat charred casks that this expression was finished in has imparted an earthy smokiness rarely seen in Irish whiskey - fascinating stuff!\n\n
