It’s Juan ambition and relentless pursuit of excellence that’s so striking, so little wonder he purchased three remarkable vineyards for his Estate: Shadow Canyon Vineyard sits on York Mountain within striking distance of the coastline; Arbor Vineyard surround Juan’s home in the heart of Willow Creek District, a short walk from Paderewski Vineyard; Heaton Vineyard had long been regarded as one of the top sites in the AVA, boasting a unique array of soils. They are managed by Juan’s dream team of viticulturists, Lucas Pope (co-founder of Haliotide) and Kevin Wilkinson, with the wines brought to life by uber-talented winemaker, Anthony Yount (a name you’ll be hearing again soon!).
From these three world-class vineyards, the team produces three distinct cuvees: the Grenache-based Doyen, the Tempranillo-dominated Jovian, and Syrah-led Peace. They are the purest expressions possible of Paso Robles, making their debut with the 2019 vintage which has only just been released via an already over-subscribed mailing list!
