El Tesoro Tequila Anejo is a 100% agave tequila that is aged for two to three years in used bourbon barrels. It is produced by the Camarena family at the La Alteña distillery in Jalisco, Mexico. It has a honey gold color and a highly perfumed nose. It has intense aromas and flavors of cooked agave, vanilla, oak, caramel, butter, citrus, pepper, cinnamon, and floral notes. It has a round, vibrant, dryish, and full-bodied mouthfeel with a peppery, elegant, and medium-long finish. It is a nuanced, thought-provoking tequila that is suitable for sipping neat or on the rocks, or in cocktails such as Paloma, Sangrita, or Tommy’s Margarita.
