Castello di Bolgheri Varvara Bolgheri DOC 2020 1.5 L

Varvara Bolgheri Rosso DOC is a red wine produced by Castello di Bolgheri, a winery with a centuries-old history. Its name comes from the Baroness Varvara Wrangel, the wife of Count Ugolino della Gherardesca. The wine is made with "international" grapes, i.e. cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, petit verdot; vineyards that come to life from soils rich in sand, limestone, clay and stony skeleton. After careful selection of the bunches, the must is left to ferment in contact with the skins, before aging for 10 months in barrique and then 6 months in bottle, thus completing an evolution that makes it soft and elegant, fresh and intense, harmonious and fulfilling. It is a wine that Castello di Bolgheri decided to start producing in 2005, with the aim of creating a more immediate and ready wine, easier and simpler to drink, without however neglecting the notes of elegance, precision and persuasion that have always characterized this terroir and this historic cellar. Varvara Bolgheri Rosso DOC is a high quality wine; proof of this are the national and international awards and recognitions received in the various years of production. In the Magnum format (1.5 l), the aging potential that already distinguishes this interesting label increases.
