At Domaines Heitz-Lochardet and La Combe Vineuse, we work everyday in order to reduce the inputs and the environmental impact of our activity. Many experiments are underway to continuously optimise the health of our terroirs.
We have at our disposal strong agronomic resources that allow us to follow the interest of our practices. The principles of organic or biodynamic viticulture are obviously part of our resources. However, Agroecology or regenerative agriculture are concepts that we appreciate even more.
In 1857, the history of the estate begins with the family Nie-Vantey. The family owned Vines from Santenay to Clos de Vougeot and had an important negociant activity. With the crisis phylloxera many vines are sold.
At the beginning of the 20Th century Mr. Georges Lochardet, descendant of the Nie-Vantey family, is a large wine merchant on the Côte de Beaune where he owns twenty hectares of vineyards and several houses.
On his death, his son Armand Lochardet inherits half of the patrimony he will growed before transmitting it to his three children, Bernard, Catherine and Brigitte. In 1983, Brigitte Lochardet married Christian Heitz and created the Domaine Heitz-Lochardet a few years later. The whole of the vine cultivation works is carried out in service by the Maison Joseph Drouhin, based in Beaune. With the same rigour as in their vines, this House works with us by applying the principles of organic viticulture. So assured of the quality of the grape the House Joseph Drouhin buys our harvest.
